WHERE IS THE GOVERNMENT GOING TO GET THE FUNDS TO REPAIR AN ALREADY CRUMBLING INFRASTRUCTURE? I GUESS IT'S MORE IMPORTANT TO GIVE SUBSIDIES TO OIL COMPANIES OR TAX BREAKS FOR CORPORATE JETS THAN TO REPAIR SOMETHING AS BORING AS AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY BEFORE IT COLLAPSES. AND WE ALL KNOW HOW QUICKLY LARGE CORPORATIONS REINVEST IN NEW HIRES. SATISFYING MAJOR SHAREHOLDERS AND CORPORATE BONUSES SEEM TO BE THE ORDER OF THE DAY. BUT WAIT, WHO IS THE MAJOR BENEFACTOR OF A FUNCTIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE, MAJOR CORPORATIONS FOR COMMERCE. FUNDS RAISED BY CLOSING THEIR TAX LOOPHOLES WOULD PUT A MAJOR DENT IN BRINGING INTERSTATE TRANSPORTATION TO A SAFE LEVEL.
SO IN THE END THE PRESIDENT, HOUSE AND SENATE CAN STAND AND APPLAUD THEMSELVES BUT WAITING IN THE WINGS IS AN ELECTORATE THAT IS BOTH HURT AND BETRAYED. BENEDICT ARNOLD WAS HATED FOR BETRAYING HIS COUNTRY AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS ON THE SAME PATH OF DESTRUCTION. 2012 IS CLOSE AT HAND AND THE PEOPLE WILL NOT FORGET THIS BACK STABBING. COMMON SENSE AND LOGIC MUST PREVAIL TO BRING THIS NATION BACK TO FINANCIAL AND POLITICAL STABILITY, NOT BACK ROOM DEALINGS TO SATISFY THE MINORITY.
