ON THIS OUR DAY OF INDEPENDENCE

The early morning fog was rolling in from the Delaware River to blanket the sleepy town of Philadelphia. 56 men arrived at Independence Hall to begin a process that would set into motion the most unlikely transformation in human history. War had started nearly a year hence but nothing was sent to the King to declare the intentions of the uprisings. These 56 men were about to commit a most agregious act that could be punishable by death, that of treason. Knowing this , these thinkers, farmers, politicians, tradesmen, businessmen and leaders put the final stamp upon one of the most sacred documents this nation has ever produced. This guiding light, this shining beacon of hope, this statement of everlasting freedom, this simple piece of paper with 56 signatures would start a process that would culminate in a war for absolute survival. This declaration would result in freedom. Freedom from persecution. Freedom from oppression. Freedom from the shackles of tyranny. The ultimate result would be independence.

Thousands would give their blood, lives and money to back up this declaration, this Declaration of Independence. Countless thousands have done the same since that day. This declaration has led to our Constitution, our government, our way of life and our nation. It must be affirmed: We are the government. We are the military. We are the economy. We are the businesses and financial institutions. We are the driving force of this nation and not some faceless institution. We are the US in USA Our love for this country will never diminish. Our determination will never fade. Our tenacity will never die. And we will never quit. We will remember this as we celebrate the most important birthday in our lives. The birth of OUR nation. Happy birthday USA. Leave your fate in our hands and we will stay the course.
